According to VisitPinedale: “The Wind River Range encompasses an area of 2.25 million acres. The Winds are the most popular section of the Bridger Wilderness of western Wyoming.

This rugged piece of the Rocky Mountains, extending for approximately 80 miles along the western slope of the Continental Divide, contains a unique combination of jagged granite rock, alpine forest, and open alpine meadows. There is jet service available at The Pinedale Airport, also known as Ralph Wenz Field, which is approximately 6 miles southeast of Pinedale, Wyoming, and a ten-minute drive from the ranch.  It is a busy general aviation airport regularly used by larger business jet aircraft and smaller single and multi-engine aircraft.

The Airport is owned by the Town of Pinedale and operated and managed by the five members of the Airport Board through recommendations to the Town. Commercial jet service is available in Jackson Hole.
